The Role
The Marketing Database Analyst will work as an important part of the CRM Marketing team focussed on marketing campaign delivery as well as campaign and commercial analytics. They will be motivated to consistently deliver quality data outputs that are pivotal for driving campaign performance.
They will be integral in supporting the delivery of highly personalised and relevant customer communications throughout the customer lifecycle with Budget Direct. They will also deliver important insights through their campaign and commercial reporting that will ensure the continuous improvement in customer engagement and sales outcomes for the broader marketing team.
Through development of data and data processes as well as automation of data flows and campaign activity they will drive the constant evolution of the data driven marketing in an efficient and effective manner.
This role will work alongside the Senior Marketing Database Analyst and Senior Data & Insights Analyst in delivery of the data and insights objectives of the CRM Marketing team.
Position Accountabilities
• Take ownership for the delivery of commercial campaigns across direct marketing channels such as eDM, SMS, direct mail, outbound and web optimisation. In particular the development and delivery of customer data sets, pre-live testing and send management.
• Work on the development of data and data processes to support campaigns that drive sales related growth opportunities and customer engagement.
• Be a key contributor to the marketing eco-system roadmap, helping define and implement systems/tools to support the organisations growth and marketing aspirations.
• Develop campaign and commercial analytics which support the continuous improvement and innovation within marketing initiatives.
• Implement automation of data flows and campaign activity wherever possible to increase efficiency, reliability and accuracy.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our marketing technology and supporting data architecture in order to enable smart, data driven marketing initiatives.
• Improve the overall data quality and data access for the marketing team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required qualifications & experience
• Intermediate SQL coding skills
• Ability to extract data and organize it for analysis
• Experience developing reports and able to extract and communicate important insights from them to stakeholders
• Enjoys working with internal stakeholders to solve problems
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Business, IT or Stats related degree or similar discipline (or equivalent work experience)
Qualifications & experience that would be great to have
• Experience working with marketing automation tools (like Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
• Experience working with marketing teams on marketing campaigns
• Knowledge of marketing principles, particularly direct marketing
• Experience working with customer data sets to generate campaign target lists
• Experience working in a financial services business
• Relational database design and development
• Experience using data visualisation tools (like Power BI or Tableau)
• Experience with other programming languages such as javascript, python, R, SAS and HTML.
