About the Job:

As a Strategic Marketing Director, you’ll play a key role in our Executive Leadership Team. You will oversee a portfolio of our organisational partners and manage multidisciplinary teams who are responsible to deliver exceptional results for our partners.

You will develop, drive and deliver overall business strategy as well as achieve key outcomes within our marketing portfolios. You’ll be responsible for establishing and managing the marketing strategy and the marketing / communications of partners, to achieve targets and to ensure the efficiency and quality of our teams work on a day-to-day basis.

This is a part time opportunity, with flexibility around days and hours of work to fit the right person (ideally Melbourne-based). The role requires 18 to 24 hours of work per week, preferably spread across 4 days.

Day-to-day, your role will include a range of marketing and communications activities, including:

  • In collaboration with the Executive Team, translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth across our portfolio of partners. Help to implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, team development and annual operating planning.
  • Investigate new business opportunities and identify and act on opportunities to grow Wild Hive’s footprint through the acquisition of new partners and team members.
  • Lead, develop and implement marketing and communications plans for our partners, including promotional calendars and programs, new product introductions and other marketing projects.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets across your portfolio and manage time and costs across your team
  • Conduct organisational, brand and product market research initiatives
  • Coach, mentor, train and lead a dedicated and skilled marketing and communications team to help them deliver their best work, to grow professionally and to envision a long-term relationship with the Wild Hive team
  • Build and maintain exceptional relationships with organisational partners to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and to retain their business
  • Lead the day-to-day business activities within the Marketing group, including weekly and fortnightly rhythms and annual reporting

A critical component of success in this role is relationship management – you must be able to demonstrate an ability to create meaningful and sustainable relationships of the highest level with organisational partners to ensure their needs are met and they receive an exceptional client experience.

About You:

You a highly driven, organised and have loads of energy to ensure you undertake your responsibilities to the highest level.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • A Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing / Communications – qualifications in business management would also be an advantage.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – a proven ability to inspire, build and maintain strong partner and team relationships.
  • A high degree of both business and interpersonal savvy – an ability to think strategically and to deliver tactically.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise work and meet targets and deadlines.
  • An ability to plan, lead and motivate several teams to drive results and performance.
  • An ability to work independently and also as part of an Executive team, and an ability to manage both upwards and across the organisation.
  • A relatable nature, and a demonstrated understanding of the Christian not for profit charitable sector
  • The ability to work within a Christian ethos and vision.

Previous experience in the Not-For-Profit sector or Church Charities is beneficial, but not required.
