Marketing Portfolio Performance Lead

- Support the EM, Marketing Planning and Governance in the development and maintenance of a brand portfolio strategy aligned to commercial targets, and with outcomes measured through marketing's scorecard and performance funnel.
- Coordinate with BCX managers and agency partners to define and track marketing metrics that matter, generate and consolidate insights from all sources of market and brand data and callout successes, issues / hotspots and opportunities.
- Assist in the design, development and maintenance of marketing performance tracking tools, dashboards and processes to be used by BCX teams. This includes manipulating large data sets to support teams in identifying successes and challenges against marketing objectives.
- Coordinate and craft BCX commercial narrative to meet fixed timelines, based on key performance metrics and insightful analysis, so that we can communicate impacts to plan and inform decisions to optimise activities and investment. This includes preparing relevant materials and briefing notes.
- Coordinate and maintain portfolio artefacts that support how key Marketing Portfolio decisions will be operationalised. This information should include (but not be limited to):
- Performance data and narratives across the portfolio and by brand/product
- Market context and opportunity (by brand, segment and product)
- Competitive environment (including shifts in competitor activity and spend)
- Profitability (by brand, segment and product)
- Brand CVPs & customer insights
- Sales Channel Performance
- Media Mix insights (by brand)
- Investment profile (by brand)
- Coordinate activities that foster strong Portfolio Performance management through the marketing team. This includes working with marketing managers to coordinate post implementation reviews (PIRs) on campaign performance.
- Establish strong working relationships with peers and key stakeholders identifying shared goals, removing blockages and enabling collaboration to deliver on the insurance business plan.
- Actively develop a deep understanding of market and consumer trends, the marketing technology landscape and how this is shaping the marketing industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing (Desirable)
- And/or relevant degree in economics / financial economics, maths / statistics or equivalent strong statistical data and analysis field.
- Experience working in a similar environment handling complex portfolio and commercial analysis
- Experience in primary and secondary research, manipulating and triangulating data and market context from quantitative and qualitative sources to surface and address business challenges.
- Analytical and critical thinking - advanced critical thinking with the ability to analyse information, identify patterns and key issues, and develop actionable insights to drive performance improvement.
- Data literacy - highly advanced data literacy with the ability to interpret and articulate analytics information, as well as understand data sources, constructs, analytical methods and techniques.
- Technical competency - intermediate/advanced database query / reporting experience, intermediate/advanced competency with Microsoft excel, Tableau and other reporting tools.
- Communication - highly effective communication and consulting skills, with an ability to tailor written documents and presentations to management and executive audiences.
- Stakeholder engagement and collaboration - strong relationship and influencing skills, particularly in leading projects and working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Includes an ability identify interdependencies and design processes.
- Commercial acumen and results driven - strong business acumen with a knowledge and understanding of business and marketing drivers.
