THE OPPORTUNITY

A full time opportunity presents for an analytical and technically oriented professional to join our head office team in Gepps Cross. Reporting to the Group Costing Manager and working as part of a tight-knit team, you will initially be involved in the maintenance of costing and product related data. As your skills develop, you will contribute to the design and development of costing and other Master Data-related systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain costing data for manufactured products
  • Ensure accuracy of cost calculations of all products and related system data
  • Perform analysis in response to requests
  • Conduct special analysis and/or investigations of business data to support operational and management decision making processes
  • Perform routine data maintenance in our extensive product databases
  • Make recommendations in regards to system changes and improvements
  • Contribute to the preparation of costing policy and procedure documentation

ABOUT YOU

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree qualification in an Engineering or Business discipline
  • Experience in a commercial/manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Passion for numbers and data
  • Highly proficient Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Familiarity with database techniques
  • An inquiring mind with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Understanding of computer programming techniques and structures is desirable
  • Experience in Oracle and/or a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
  • Candidates with a background in production scheduling or engineering are encouraged.
