As a Master Data Officer, you will be a part of our Finance Operations Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Master Data to support the Financial Operations Office and ensure data governance. The Officer will also provide advice and support services to all teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with systems, processes and policies relating to buying activities, member relations and work closely within the different function of the business and finance team not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Financial Control, Procurement, and the Technology.
This is a full-time permanent role, based from our Sydney Olympic Park office, with hybrid work arrangements available.
The key requirements of this role will include:
- Manage and maintain accurate and secure Master Data through controlled changes to all areas of the Financial System - including, but not limited to Supplier Master Data and Customer Master Data.
- Undertake a regular review of all Master Data records to ensure good quality, up-to-date information
- Own and maintain all aspects of the Finance Process Library for Master Data and Master Data related processes as assigned by the NRMA Shared Services
- Implement controls to ensure that data processes and lineage adhere to NRMA policies and ensure high and consistent data quality and promoting awareness of data quality, security, availability and consistent usage within business unit.
- Ensure secure and appropriate Supplier and Customer On-Boarding
- Pro-actively build working relationships with buyers and systems users to deliver quality support services
- Demonstrate excellence in meeting the agreed deliverables for internal stakeholders
- Monthly Service Level and PO Compliance Reporting for the whole of NRMA Finance Shared Services
- Recommend and implement appropriate improvements to systems and processes that support Master Data Management activities
- Capture and report on how P2P framework is being used, types of issues raised and related training needs
- Identify process/ configuration changes that would improve how the system supports the business.
- Tertiary level qualification (e.g. bachelor degree) in Accounting or Finance
- Certification in Data Governance & Analytics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance Operations / Shared Services
- Detailed knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including but not limited to Supplier & Customer On-Boarding, with a focus on continuous improvement
- General knowledge of statutory obligations (sales, tax, GST), broad business environment including re-engineering principles and processes, and awareness of IT opportunities in purchasing and contractual buying
- Specific knowledge of business operations, in-depth understanding of purchasing and accounts payable policies and protocols, supplier and vendor relationship building, data governance and business information system(s)
- Capable of building and maintaining effective cross-function relationships and all aspects of communication with stakeholders
- Able to conduct training sessions with users with a flexible approach to work & environment to facilitate cross-skilling
- Ability to work autonomously, plan, organise and prioritise daily tasks, be efficient and accurate to achieve the objectives of the position within set timelines.
- Intermediate and Advance MS Excel, MS Word, data and analytics
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to gain co-operation and assistance from within and external to the organisation
