About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Master Scheduler to join the Integration Management Team. This will be offered as a permanent role where you will be critical to ensuring the successful delivery of the organisation’s Integration Roadmap as we work to build a new bank under the single brand of People First Bank. 

You will be instrumental in enabling programs to translate business case outcomes into a logically sequenced and dependency driven plan from which, informed decisions can be made.

As part of and working with the program delivery teams, you will  develop a single master schedule, defining critical execution pathways to  identify and resolve blockers, and enabling delivery against program quality. 

You will be working as part of a geographically dispersed team and will have strong capabilities in self-managing your work, collaborating with people remotely ensuring you remain connected to the team and key stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing, managing and maintaining an integrated portfolio master schedule that considers dependencies, constraints and resource availability.
  • Challenging underlying assumptions behind program schedules to ensure they reflect tangible and achievable outcomes.
  • Identifying and assessing risks, issues and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and developing mitigation plans.
  • Monitoring project progress and identifying any deviations from the schedule.
  • Conducting regular meetings and discussions with project teams to review and analyse project status, identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Providing accurate and timely reports, dashboards and visualisations that communicate project status, key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Integration Management Team by providing high quality reporting for key forums including Steering Committees, Executive and Board level reporting.
  • Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

About You

You have demonstrative experience in working in a similar role in a complex, inter-connected portfolio.  You have demonstrated resilience as you develop and consolidate a single comprehensive master schedule across the portfolio.

We also seek: 

  • Substantial proven experience as a Master Scheduler with portfolio level complexities and interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify critical paths, analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Expert level skills in project management software - Microsoft Project Online preferred.
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

You completion or near completion of a certification in project management will be highly regarded.
