Job description

With the Nacap PNG business expanding, it is an exciting time for our Brisbane and Papua New Guinea project teams. We are looking for skilled candidates to add to our team dynamic and join our busy Brisbane team in a role that will be supporting multiple PNG projects.

As the Materials and Logistics Administration Officer will be responsible for providing back-office administrative support to the Supply Chain Management Department in the Materials Management and Purchasing areas.

This is an entry level role that would suit someone wanting to start a career within a high-volume and administration focused role. 

We are open to applicants who come from other industries that have a strong administrative background and a desire to learn.
 

Duties will include:

  • Raise purchase and blanket orders for freight forwarders and transport providers as required.
  • Prepare shipping documentation for air and ocean shipments.
  • Update and upload logistics schedules.
  • Track material orders on an adhoc operational basis to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain SharePoint document library.
  • Assist in collating vendor data management documents and presenting for approval / action and filing of documents in the Nacap PNG management system
  • Prepare and distribute reports as directed.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as; Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems or seek out help from other colleagues 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Must have full Australian working rights
