About the role
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials within the production facility. You will be required to read and interpret production engineering drawings, select components to kit up and deliver to the production area.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Select components to kit up and deliver to the production area.
- Identification and selection of components through production engineering drawings.
- Ensure a constant flow of material to meet the production plan.
- Communicate issues or shortages with the immediate supervisor.
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment for assigned area and move components within the facility.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience as a Material Handler preferably in the Automotive or fabrication industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Solid background working with sheet metal, metal components or aluminium
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices, including the operation of forklifts and other equipment
- Positive attitude, high enthusiasm and willing to work.
- Current and valid licence
