Materials Engineer

ARL Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is looking for Materials Engineer for our operations in Sydney NSW.

Successful candidate should:

• have experience in Metallography and Microstructure Studies.
• Prepare and Perform structural, mechanical and metrology evaluations
• Operate testing machines (Tensile, Hardness, Charpy etc.)
• Collaborate with other team members to summarize data in a report
• Contribute in planning of studies, conducting and performing experiments
• Communicate with the client for clarification ensuring accurate results and customer-satisfaction

General Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Material Engineering /Metallurgy or related discipline
• 2+ years of hands-on product testing in a laboratory setting is preferred
• Experience with Tensile/Compression/Strength testing (Instron/MTS/UTM)
• Machining Skills (Milling, Lathe etc.)
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent understanding of engineering concepts (mechanisms, fixtures, tooling, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must possess strong ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines in an ever-changing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer-service focused
• Detail-oriented and great organizational skills a must
