About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Supply Chain, the Manager of Materials and Logistics Operations will manage warehousing, Materials Management and logistics operations across Western Australia, Northern Territory and Timor Leste Assets and in line with Santos company values.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adequate resources, manage demand forecasts, and ensure timely delivery of products to operational teams.
- Establish and coordinate operational planning forums to address supply chain constraints/risks before commencement of works.
- Optimise warehouse and logistics operations to deliver cost effective opportunities where possible.
- Inventory planning, development, and implementation of stocking policies (min/max) and inventory forecasts.
- Inventory lifecycles management through identification of defects, non-moving and obsolete inventory, and disposals.
- Maintain accuracy of inventories through developing cycle counting programs.
- Logistics and transport contract management to ensure safe operations and services delivered in line with the scope and contract terms.
- Delivery of warehousing, heavy transport, and logistics services to the Regional Business Unit.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure inventory and supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
About you
The successful individual will have the following:
- Degree qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or similar
- Experienced in managing supply chain operations in the energy or major construction industry environment.
- Project Management and Change Management experienced.
- Competent in leading business improvements strategies and LEAN initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience in Materials planning and forecasting, Inventory analytics and material lifecycle management.
- Experience working with Supply chain systems, MRP, ERP preferably with SAP– inventory management and projects.
- Experience in business process engineering and ERP system implementation
- It is essential for this role to collaborate and communicate efficiently and effectively across the Santos organisation.
- Strong management skills with hands-on experience in leading and mentoring team members to deliver positive outcomes.
- Project Management (PMP or similar) with a Member status CIPS or equivalent is ideal but not essential
- Resilient and Adaptable in working within a dynamic environment is vital in supporting the success of the individual in the role.
