We are Calvary Christian College, an independent co-educational school that provides Christian education from the Early Learning Centre to Year 12 in Townsville.

The OpportunityWe now have exciting opportunities for full-time Secondary Mathematics Teachers to join us in Townsville, QLD with availability to start Term 3, 2024 or for those looking for a new path in 2025.
This role involves delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction to students across the Secondary College, with capability to specifically teach Year 11-12, under the guidance of a passionate Head of Department. The teaching load will include a variety of curriculum, supervision and pastoral care responsibilities.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering high-quality mathematics instruction in accordance with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Demonstrating a Christian worldview, supporting the College's ethos, and encouraging students' spiritual, intellectual, and social growth.
- Establishing strong rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Implementing effective classroom and behaviour management practices.
- Planning and preparing engaging learning programs and activities.
- Assessing and reporting on student performance.
- Participating in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
You will also have the opportunity to offer and lead extra-curricular activities in line with your own personal passions and interests.

About YouTo qualify, you will need a current Queensland College of Teachers Registration or have the ability to obtain, and a Bachelor of Education or a postgraduate qualification in Education (or equivalent), with a focus on Mathematics.
