We are seeking a Passionate Secondary Maths Teacher, this is a fixed term part time opportunity, 0.2FTE.
This exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, passionate and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our Senior Campus team. As a Maths Teacher at Launceston Church Grammar School, you will play a vital role in nurturing a love for mathematics and fostering a strong understanding of mathematical concepts among our students. This position is responsible for promoting learning and improving student outcomes. You will work and be part of a professional, collaborative and warm team environment.

This opportunity will suit a candidate who is able to demonstrate:
- Specific experience teaching Essentials Maths – workplace for Grade 11/12
- Sound knowledge and an innovative and engaging approach to teaching the Australian Curriculum (Mathematics)
- Confidence in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning
- Ability to demonstrate effective classroom management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively
- Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents
- A commitment to supporting the wellbeing of students.
Key Selection Criteria
- Education – Minimum qualification is completion of Bachelor of Education, from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Teacher Registration – Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board.
- Teaching Experience — Curriculum and pedagogical design; exemplary teaching practice and relevant teaching experience.
- Maths teaching experience.
- HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification.
- A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the safe integration of technology in the delivery of learning.
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration – Department of Consumer, Building and Occupational Services.
