Location: Wiluna to Geraldton, Western Australia

About the role: GEM Resourcing are currently seeking experienced MC Road Train Drivers to join our team and support our operations transporting iron ore from our mine site in Wiluna to the port of Geraldton. Our client is a leading logistics provider specializing in the mining sector, offering an exceptional work environment with state-of-the-art equipment.
 
Job Description: As a Road Train Driver, you will handle the operation of standard, super, and ultra quad Road Trains equipped with road ranger gearboxes. Our trucks, which are less than 12 months old, can be up to 60 meters long and weigh over 200 tons. The role involves a rigorous two-section trip, with each leg approximating 13 hours of driving.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Safe and efficient operation of quad Road Trains.
• Adherence to scheduled routes and timetables.
• Maintenance of accurate driving logs and documentation.
• Compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide the following:

• Valid MC driving license.
• Reference contact details of two past employers
• Based already in Perth, WA.
• Have the right to work in Australia.
• Proven experience in operating Road Trains, especially vehicles over 50 meters and 200 tons.
• Familiarity with road ranger gearboxes.
• Commitment to safety and reliability.

Rosters & Travel:

• Ex Perth: 2:1, 4:2, 8:2, 10:2, 12:2
• Interstate: 4:2, 8:2, 10:2, 12:2
• International: 10:2, 12:2
• Return flights paid by the Company.
• Charter flights to site(s) operate every Wednesday and Friday. Candidates are expected to arrive a day prior and manage overnight accommodation before the flight.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate of $55/hr.
• Access to dedicated driver facilities, including a 24-hour salad bar, home-cooked style meals, and excellent living conditions.
