Mechanic Heavy Vehicle / Trailer Mechanic

Armesto's Transport is an Australian, family owned and operated business currently on the lookout for enthusiastic people to join our highly motivated and busy workshop.                         

We are in the market for a self-motivated Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to do repairs and servicing in our new workshop. The successful applicant will perform duties which will include (but are not limited to):

• Performing minor and major services or repairs as required to vehicles, trailers and equipment including transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes
• Diagnostic and preventative maintenance
• Accountable for the general cleanliness of work area and tool cleanliness and return on a daily basis.

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Relevant trade qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
• Drivers licence essential, however Heavy Vehicle licence would be advantageous
• Good communication skills
• Able to shift gears in a high paced environment and respond quickly to the requirements of production.

Remuneration
From $35.00 to $45.00 per hour base hourly rate                             

(Dependent on Skills and Experience) 

This is a permanent full time position with a 38 hour week plus overtime as required. Saturday morning work involved.                                            
Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant depending on experience.
