Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Mechanical Checker to join our project office on William St in the Perth CBD. The successful applicant will be checking mechanical design drawings to ensure that they meet the design criteria for the project.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Checking drawings for compliance ensuing standards, specifications and procedures have been adhered to.
- Checking drawings for constructability.
- Manage workloads to ensure tasks are met.
- Liaising with project team personnel where required, to produce accurate design documentation.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality in the design documentation.
What You ‘Can Do’
- 10+ years’ experience in mining, mineral processing plant design.
- Previous mechanical Checking experience
- Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting in a relevant CAD package. Autodesk preferred although not essential.
- Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
- Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment.
- Proven ability to work autonomously or as a part of team.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Site experience during construction and commissioning desirable although not essential.
