ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent full-time position based at our Dendrobium Coal Processing Plant, Port Kembla in the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometers southwest of Sydney.As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance of physical assets are executed safely by maintenance personnel, in accordance with work schedules and relevant standards.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Accountable for equipment and engineering strategies and standards, collaborating with Asset Management function.
• Review and advise on the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of mechanical plant at the operation.
• Scoping future capital project works and oversight of works in execution ensuring they're completed safely and to required standards.
• Ownership of site Structural Integrity Management system, ensuring works are prioritized and executed correctly.
• Ensure Mechanical Engineering functions are compliant with current Health and Safety Management systems and relevant standards.

ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Prior experience in Asset Management within mining or heavy industry.
• Able to scope engineering projects and introduce and/or modify assets and infrastructure.
• Familiar with relevant Australian Standards.
• Experience with Design, calculation, and drafting software such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment within a workplace

Qualifications for this position are:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
• Valid class C Drivers licence
