Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technician
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our manufacturing team based in South West Sydney. You must demonstrate to have previous experience working in an engineering workshop environment using both manual and CNC machines while working within an ISO quality management framework.
Location:
Ingleburn Sydney NSW.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Manufacture of components using information taken from engineering drawings and technical sources
· Performing duties safely and according to our procedures and process
· Operation of CNC machines, including 5 axis style machines
· Programming on various CNC controllers
· Working well within a close-knit team and understanding the needs of the production environment
Qualification and Experience required:
· Be a qualified and/or experienced tradesperson CNC / Machinist
· Tertiary level Mechanical Engineering qualification
· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Have an excellent mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Preferred skills:
· AutoCAD Experience or Siemens NX experience (CAD/CAM)
· CNC software programming.
· EDM experience
· 5 axis simultaneous machining ability - highly favourable
. Welding experience also highly favourable
In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant must have a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude. Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as required.
This is a full-time permanent position within our team. To be successful in this role you must be motivated and be willing to put in the effort required to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are essential. On the job training and support will be provided.

Salary on offer and Applied award:
Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award. Base hourly rate of $37.50/hour. Equivalent to base salary of $74,100 excluding superannuation.
