Mechanical Engineering Technician

Duties:

To oversee all repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance of all production equipment in the Macro Group of business premises. Working in conjunction with the Management group, Maintenance staff, Production Supervisors, Leading Hands and Production staff to ensure all equipment operates efficiently/ safely. Take any action necessary to maintain product integrity and compliance to relevant regulations.

All aspects involving repairs & maintenance to factory/ offices and plant equipment. Ensuring all safety aspects will be compliant as per company policies and procedures and compliant to the manufacturer's recommendations.

Essential Requirements

•        Extensive thermoformer experience with Mulivac equipment

•        Extensive skin packing experience with Multivac equipment

•        Extensive Hantmann filler experience

•        Extensive MAP and vacuum packaging experience

Maintenance Manager/ Senior Management Qualified Maintenance Technician

•        Fault finding on all plant and equipment

•        Following control circuits

•        Preventative maintenance to be undertaken on all plant and equipment

•        Fabrication duties

•        Installation of plant and equipment (old/new)

•        Re location of any plant and equipment (old/new)

•        PLC issue problem solving and fixing

•          Pneumatics and hydraulics work

•        Overhauling and reconditioning machinery and equipment

•        Installation of all electrical needs for the business

•        Assisting all maintenance staff on other maintenance duties when required

•        Following all Company policies and procedures at all times

•        Ensuring all Work Health and Safety regulations are actioned at all time.

•        Timely repairs assessing and prioritizing breakdown service periods.

•        Following all directions/ instructions by the Maintenance Manger that are reasonable and practicable.
