Mechanical Fitter

In Australia, JBS is the largest protein processor and producer of meat, pork and salmon, exporter and feedlot operator with 11 plants and 4 Feedlots across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Maintenance Fitter at our Cobram plant.

This is a full time position with the potential to earn $60,000 - $80,000 or more with additional allowances and/or overtime.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of the plant assets.
Monitor, follow up and address issues associated with the implementation and progress of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
Continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems.
Communication with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issues.
Understand and implement quality control techniques.
Be actively involved with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair
About you:

Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience.
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices.
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
Experience gained from a large heavy industry organization.
Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Effective and efficient problem solving skills.
Flexible to work rotating shifts.
