Mechanical Fitter

Clough has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope for the Waitsia Stage 2 development in the northern Perth Basin, near the town of Dongara approximately 350km north of Perth and 65km south of Geraldton in Western Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

Job Requirements:
A rewarding opportunity exists for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the Waitsia Project. Working on a 20&8 roster (bus-in/bus-out from Perth, or DIDO from Dongara), the role will involve the following:
Preparation and pre-assembly of mechanical equipment prior to installation
Identification of defects, faults or damage to mechanical equipment prior to installation
Identification of equipment with corresponding installation locations
Installation and alignment of, but not limited to conveyor trestles, trusses and idler sets, pulleys, shuttle rails, cone crushers, belt feeders, apron feeders, vibrating feeders, vibrating screens, chutes, various types of drive assemblies, take up mechanisms, and crane rails.
Laser Alignments on various rotating equipment including conveyor drives and pumps
Demonstrate safe use of all hand tools and equipment associated with mechanical installation activities
Flange management
High Torque activities
Measuring, marking out and drilling
Complete Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s).
Execute work by following comprehensive procedures in conjunction with adhering to work instructions as defined in work packs and job cards.
Any other duties deemed within employee’s ability or experience

Qualifications:
Mechanical Trade Certificate
Construction Card
High Risk Work License – EWP (desired)
Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence (desired)
Enter and Work in Confined Space (desired)
Fire Extinguisher Training
