This company manufactures and designs solutions primarily for the food and packaging industry in Australia. It is solely Australian-owned and based in the Notting Hill / Clayton area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled and experienced full-time Senior Mechanical fitter to join their freindly team to assist in assembly of equipment.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Mechanical Fitter Assembly Technician is primarily responsible for assembling equipment, This is a pivotal role within a growing business, where you will create and deliver equipment to various clients.
Your main duties will include the following:
- Perform & coordinate onsite installations.
- Manage and perform assembly of equipment
- Arrange preparation of components before assembly
- Ensure appropriate drawings & specifications are provided
- Oversee & coordinate sub-contractors
- Provide feedback on designs & processes
- Assist with the operations of the workshop
- Meet time targets for assembly works.
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Mechanical fitter or toolmaker
- Fork-lift licence
- Driver's licence
- Experience in industrial, and mechanical environment
- Experience with the assembly of machinery
- Understanding of FMCG environment
- Very good verbal communication
- Ability to read & interpret mechanical drawings
