Randstad's Construction, Property and Engineering team are seeking multiple Mechanical fitters for an upcoming maintenance shutdown, located in Pinkenba, Tingalpa and surrounding areas
Duration: 4 weeks from January 2nd 2024
Monday - Sunday- 12 hour days
Hours are 6am until 6pm (day shift only)
Responsibilities:
- Refurbishing hoppers and related mechanical components during the maintenance shutdown.
- Conducting inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure the efficient functioning of industrial machinery.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification preferred.
- Confined Space and working at heights tickets (within 2 years)
- C Class drivers licence and reliable transportation
- Great Overtime potential - $48/hour plus penalties after 7.6 hours. Shifts are 12 hours
