The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the mechanical maintenance of all fixed plant located at the Kunwarara Plant. This includes ensuring all maintenance activities are performed for a safe and reliable operation.

About The Role
As the Mechanical Fitter, you will:
- Develop work plans to effectively complete assigned jobs including tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance activities, breakdown work and problem analysis to meet both daily and long-term safety and production needs.
- Identify, initiate, and implement plant improvement opportunities.
- Undertake minor project work to improve plant performance and safety.
- Review work procedures and PM’s and provide feedback to ensure the maintenance system remains current.
- Utilise the computer-based maintenance system SAP to record work history and parts usage.
- Promote and assist in the development of all work group personnel in safety, technical and procedural issues.
The Requirements
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Working at Heights & Confined Space Ticket (Desirable)
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and compressors.
- Maintenance of bulk materials handling equipment including Belt Conveyors, Cone and Jaw Crushers, Slurry Pumps and Vibrating Springs.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse faults and eliminate the cause of the faults.
