Job Description:
As a key member of our maintenance team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery, ensuring functionality, safety, and reliability within specified timeframes and budgetary limits.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, documenting repairs and improvements.
- Stock Management: Manage workshop stock, order parts, and ensure timely availability of necessary components for repairs and upgrades.
- Welding: Utilize your welding skills to repair and fabricate components as needed.
- Innovation: Contribute your expertise to building and designing new trucks, enhancing our fleet’s efficiency and sustainability.
- Problem-Solving: No two days are the same! Tackle diverse challenges, troubleshoot issues, and find creative solutions to keep our operations running smoothly.
Job Requirements:
- Welding Skills: Proficiency in welding techniques for repairs and fabrication.
- Trade Ticket: Must hold a valid trade qualification as a Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter & Turner, or some form of Mechanical Tradesperson.
- Auto Electrical Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with auto electrical systems is a plus.
- Forklift Ticket (Preferred): Having a forklift license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Machining Experience: Ability to operate and maintain machining equipment.
- Hydraulic Experience: Understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
- Fabrication Experience: Skilled in metal fabrication and assembly.
- Quick Thinker and Problem Solver: Adaptability and effective troubleshooting skills.
