About the role

A exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Industry Services team in Gladstone, as a Mechanical Testing Supervisor. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following: 

• Coordinating with clients to understand testing needs and specifications.
• Adherence to testing procedures, safety protocols, and quality standard
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and testing protocols.
• Conducting inspections to standards and specifications.
• Managing the maintenance, calibration, and repair of testing equipment and facilities.
• Ensuring a safe and organised work environment for testing activities
• Analysing test results and data to verify performance, reliability, and quality of materials or products.
• Preparing comprehensive reports detailing findings.
• Communicating results to stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Implementing quality assurance measures to uphold testing accuracy and reliability.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions based on test outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate records of testing activities, including procedures, results, and equipment logs.
• Ensuring documentation complies with internal protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitating document control processes for traceability and audit purposes
• Addressing client inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborating with sales and business development teams to support proposal development and client engagements.

Selection criteria

• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Certificate for AS1796 Cert10 or CSWIP 3.2 and a Radiation Licence desirable but not required.
• Proficiency in conducting various mechanical tests relevant to the industry.
• Familiarity with testing standards and procedures specific to the materials or products being tested.
• Ability to operate and maintain Mechanical Testing equipment.
• Skills to report test results clearly and concisely.
• Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to testing activities.
• Adhere to company policies related to occupational health, safety and Quality.
