Overview

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Work Pack Engineer or experienced Tradespeople to join our Work Pack Team. 

This role involves creating detailed work packs for mechanical construction and engineering projects within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will possess significant technical experience in the oil & gas industry and be capable of supporting technical queries, as-building, and closeout phases during Shutdown (SD) at the Karratha Gas Plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed work packs for mechanical scope of work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Support the engineering and construction teams by providing technical expertise and solutions for mechanical challenges.
  • Facilitate job card development for mechanical scopes on an LNG train shutdown, ensuring all necessary documentation and specifications are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Participate in technical reviews and sign-offs, ensuring quality and technical integrity of work packs.
  • Liaise with the client for the approval of Project Approval Forms (PAF), ensuring all work scopes meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide onsite support during the Shutdown period at the Karratha Gas Plant for technical queries, as-building documentation, and project closeout activities.
  • Collaborate with the UAJV Work Pack team, contributing to team meetings and project planning sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures during all phases of project execution.

Qualifications 

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. Qualified Tradespeople with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience within the oil and gas industry, with a strong preference for candidates with experience on LNG train shut downs.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with clients.
  • Must be willing to travel to and work onsite at the Karratha Gas Plant during a specified Shutdown period.
