West Coast Medical Centers have four clinics located in Currambine, Ocean reef, Clarkson and Two rocks. We have the opportunity for an experienced Fulltime/Part time Medical Receptionist Team Lead hours to be discussed for right applicant.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in Medical Receptionist role
- Team Lead experience
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Knowledge of medical software; (Best Practice)
- Medicare adjustment claims
Tasks & responsibilities
- To oversee the reception in line with practice policies, protocols. Identify strengths and weakness and liaise closely with the Management Team at all times, ensuring accuracy of appointment bookings and bringing to the attention of your direct manager any excess pressure on bookings.
- To provide support and guidance to the Reception Team, other practice staff and visitors on patient service issues
- To participate in the induction and orientation of new employees, Doctors, Registrar’s and to assist in the induction and training & appraisal of reception staff to support staff training and the implementation of practice policies and protocols.
- Troubleshooting / Problem solving
- Leading and directing reception staff so that tasks are done smoothly and efficiently. Ensuring all admin tasks are kept up to date. Liaising with your direct Manager should problems arise in these areas.
- General office duties such as banking, scanning, photocopying and re-stocking consulting rooms
- Friendly verbal & in written communication with patients, staff and outside stakeholders
- Compiling reports
- To manage patient complaints received direct from the patient’s, staff, Doctors, ensuring your direct manager is briefed once resolved or escalated (if required.)
- Responsibility for organising cover for holidays, sickness and compassionate leave; this involves having a good daily awareness of staff attendance and changes; responsible for identifying training needs for receptionists and arranging appropriate training.
