Job description

Western Health has an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist to take up a maternity leave backfill position as a Medicines Shortages and Governance Pharmacist. This is a temporary full-time position until 15 June 2025.We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist with exceptional organisational and adaptability skills to respond to the dynamic Medicines Shortages landscape and provide governance support. This role is suited for a pharmacist with clinical and operational expertise.You will be joining at a very exciting time for the health service, with the recent opening of a newly refurbished Sunshine Hospital Pharmacy Department featuring pharmacy automation, and with the new Footscray Hospital scheduled for completion in the second half of 2025.To be Successful in this Role, you must:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Have a proven ability to co-ordinate and implement change within a complex environment
  • Have experience in undertaking quality improvement activities
