Medium Rigid Truck Driver
Mackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Driver to join our Civil Construction Pavements team, based at the Paget Depot. This role involves a range of tasks related to the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure. You will be engaged in earthworks, concrete work, pipelaying, bitumen applications, and vegetation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy combination trucks for transporting materials and equipment.
- Perform hands-on labouring tasks in road and drainage maintenance and construction.
- Assist with earthworks, concrete works, pipelaying, bitumen work, and vegetation management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Current General Construction Safety "White" Card.
- Minimum Current QLD Medium Rigid Truck ‘MR’ Class Licence.
- Current QLD Manual Car ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence.
- Current Traffic Controller's Ticket.
- Extensive experience driving tandem axle trucks in varying road conditions.
- Proven experience in the construction and maintenance of roads and drainage infrastructure.

- Competitive $59,319 base salary plus allowances
- Choose 4 or 5 weeks' leave + 17.5% loading
