About Us

The Motor Trade Association of SA / NT is South Australia and Northern Territory’s peak member organisation in the automotive, retail, service and repair industry as well as being the largest trainer and employer of Automotive Apprentices in South Australia. We are driven by teamwork, safety, achievement, accountability, respect, and excellence and turn these values into action. Due to internal promotion, we are now seeking a Member Engagement Specialist to engage with industry and assist them grow and prosper. The initial contract is for 12 months. However, if the successful candidate meets the established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performs satisfactorily in the role, there is potential for the contract to be extended and possibly converted into a permanent position.

About The Position

As an active member of the Automotive Business Team, you will be responsible for engaging with current MTA members to ensure awareness of all MTA services. With time spent predominantly visiting existing members across South Australia, this role will attract a proactive, responsible, and engaging individual who is comfortable on the road and is adept at building relationships.

A background in automotive, training or employment is welcomed, but not essential if you have the drive to succeed.  You will have keen attention to detail and high levels of written, verbal and presentation skills.

You will bring the following skills, qualities and experience the role:

  • Customer service experience;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience presenting to small and large groups;
  • Excellent time management;
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst remaining focused;
  • Able to use initiative and driven to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel intrastate and stay overnight when required.
