We are excited to collaborate with a leading non-for-profit organisation in the social services space to add a dedicated Team Leader to their exceptional team in the NT. This position is ideal for a clinician with a background in social work, psychology, or counselling, who has management experience and a strong interest in overseeing mental health programmes within the wider community.

Role Overview:

This role involves providing early intervention, preventative services, and programmes for parents, families, and youths experiencing mental health difficulties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing leadership and integration of multiple programmes.
  • Leading and mentoring staff while providing direct services and managing complex client work.
  • Contributing to the formation and establishment of mental health programmes and initiatives, including undertaking control and coordination of major work initiatives.
  • Managing triage, assessment, and allocation of individual and group therapy.
  • Utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed practices for culturally appropriate services.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative networks and relationships with relevant government and community-based agencies and community representatives.
Essential Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant degree with substantial experience/post-graduate qualification or an associate diploma with experience in a mental health setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience in report writing, case management, and staff supervision.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous communities.
  • Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • A valid police check conducted within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain one.
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC).
