  • Classification: Nurses Award 2020 Level 2 $93,168 - $97,891 or Health Professional & Support Services Award 2020 Level 2 $88,406 - $98,899 per annum + Superannuation

Neami National is a community Mental Health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

We have been providing Mental Health support for over 30 years. We were founded on an alliance between professionals, individuals and their families. Collaborative recovery remains at the heart of who we are today.

About your new role

As a Mental Health Clinical Coordinator, you will have a background in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology.

As a Mental Health Clinical Support Coordinator, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team who deliver high- quality Mental Health intake, assessment, triage, and referral services for individuals in the community who experience Mental Health issues and are seeking support. The team will provide clinical Mental Health assessments and facilitate access and connection to appropriate clinical and community services. A priority of the role is to connect people seamlessly to the most appropriate local service to meet their identified needs.

The Mental Health Clinical Coordinators will work as part of a collaborative team approach, supported by regular opportunities to reflect upon their practice and access comprehensive training and supervision.

What you will bring to the role?

  • The Mental Health Clinical Support Coordinator will be either a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency essential, or a Social Worker with Australian Association of Social Worker (AASW) membership, or evidence that they are eligible to have membership with the AASW.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of Mental Health assessment and supporting consumers with presenting Mental Health concerns.
  • Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection
  • Demonstrates integrity and credibility, and fosters open honest communication
  • Demonstrates commitment to the organisation and its values
  • Adapts to the team and contributes to a positive team dynamic
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • A valid Australian Driver's License
  • You must maintain a right to work in Australia, in the position and location of employment during your employment with Neami.
