Mental Health Clinician - Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service

Your new role
This is a multidisciplinaryrole and is open to Grade 2 or 3 Occupational Therapists, Social Workersand Psychologists (Clinical/Forensic), and Grade 3 or 4 RegisteredPsychiatric Nurses. In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical assessments and treatment to young people in youthjustice custody, including appropriate discharge planning, care teamliaison and age-appropriate referrals to support their transition backinto the community
- Work collaboratively and feel very supported by our experienced andskilled clinical & medical staff and engage with ourkey-stakeholders from youth justice (YJ) and other service providers(CCA, Barwon Health & Caraniche)
- Be based at either the Parkville, Malmsbury or Cherry Creek YouthJustice Precinct. As such, travel to the workplace destination can beincluded within the working hours.
Your new team:
Orygen Specialist Program(OSP), is a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, that providesspecialist Mental Health services for young people aged 15 to 25 andfocuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe andcomplex mental illness.
Custodial Forensic Youth Mental HealthService (FYMHS) provides specialist youth Mental Health care in youthjustice custodial settings including the Parkville, Malmsbury and CherryCreek sites.
About You:
- Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
- Demonstrate experience in the application of clinical practice, particularly in youth Mental Health
- Knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant settings is desirable.
