Position Summary:
Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will deliver integrated Mental Health (MH) and/or alcohol and other drugs (AOD) services. This role is vital in providing clinical services including intake, assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention (counselling), treatment coordination, case management, and discharge planning to ensure improved Mental Health and reduced harm from alcohol or other drugs. The role will engage and provide support to a participant by using a harm reduction approach, while they await their formal treatment to start.
Accountability:
Mental Health Clinicians are expected to support the culture, operational and strategic direction of Richmond Fellowship Tasmania by contributing to their team, program, and organisational initiatives such as line management and professional supervision, work goals and direction, professional development, team meetings, student supervision, continuous improvement, and clinical review.
Clinical programs are accountable to the manager for Clinical and Community Programs and operate within Richmond Fellowship Tasmania’s clinical governance and outcome frameworks.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification (Bachelor’s degree minimum);
- Psychologist (holding provisional or general registration), or
- Mental health nurse (credentialed or working towards credentialling), or
- Mental health social worker (credentialed or working towards credentialling), or
- Mental health occupational therapist (credentialed or working towards credentialling), or
with specialist counsellor qualification (post grad certificate / diploma, Cert IV in AOD)
• Previous experience working in a AOD setting providing direct consumer support (min 2 years).
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
Desirable:
• Previous experience in service development and promotion.
• Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Conditions of Employment:
• AHPRA or other professional registration with no conditions (as required by discipline).
• Full national police check including international check.
• Working with Vulnerable People check with NDIS Worker Screening.
• Car Licence (P Plate and above).
• Right to work within Australia (Working visa with VEVO documentation).
