This is a permanent part time role at .4FTE (2 days/week). Speech Pathologists seeking additional hours are encouraged to also express interest, as opportunities across the broader ICYMHS service may be available. About the Team
The Central Youth Community Team (CYCT) is one of several community outpatient teams within Austin Health's Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS). It is a multi-disciplinary team that offers individual and group assessment, treatment, consultations, a clinical case management service to young people (12-18 with plans in place to expand up to 25 this year) with a variety of complex and severe mental illnesses and/or disorders living in the local government areas of Banyule and Nillumbik.
About the role
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our Central Youth Community Team to support meeting the diverse speech and language needs of children and young people. In addition to individual assessments and intervention, the role will provide support to families and sector workers on the communication and developmental needs of the child or young person. Discipline specific supervision and support is also provided.

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- professional qualification in Speech Pathology
- a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and family-centred approach
- strong assessment, clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- expertise in engaging young people and their families within a clinical setting
