About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Team Leader for our Non-Acute Psychosocial Support program and/or the Intensive Crisis Support Mental Health Program based in Adelaide Metro. This role is a Permanent full-time position due to commence on the 1st of March 2024 (subject toclearance of all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check and or Vulnerable person-related employment screening check.)
The support we offer spans from Adelaide metro to Southern and Northern Adelaide areas. There will be a strong focus on service delivery in the Northern regions. Experience and knowledge of service provision and available resources in this area is highly desirable.
Lead your dynamic team to deliver high quality, client-centred supports by collaborating with other leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be responsible in leading and motivating a team of Community Rehabilitation Support Workers and Peer Support Workers. We are looking for someone with experience within the Mental Health sector with a strong understanding of the Recovery Framework principles and eligible community services available to meet the needs of our clients. Being well-versed in the NDIS and helping clients determine their eligibility for access is also advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, and empower a team of recovery-focused support workers.
- Champion the creation, implementation, and monitoring of personalised support and care plans, working collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and support networks.
- Strive to deliver services through a support worker whose skills and interests closely match those of the client where possible.
- Demonstrate effective conflict resolution, communication, and positive behaviour management skills.
- Communicate and display values consistent with Life Without Barriers: Responsive, Imaginative, Courageous, Respectful, and Relationships.
- Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations in an accurate and timely manner with relevant funding stakeholders.
- Offer leadership in practice to both direct reports and the Mental Health team through collaborative efforts with stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- An unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and access to reliable motor vehicle
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and supporting client focused practice.
- Demonstrated experience managing contracted KPIs and preparing written reports.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic thinking, achieve results and communicate with influence.
