Job description

The Opportunity

This newly created role will support the Merchandise Team in the analysis, control and optimization of merchandise deployment for Hermès Australia. Acting as an effective commercial liaison and correspondent between the office and the boutiques your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 

Sales/Stock Reporting and Analysis

  • Consolidate and monitor Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Periodic Sales Evolution reports by Métier 
  • Cyclical and ad hoc reporting of Sales and Stock performance by Métier, in order to provide the Merchandise Team and the greater group real time information critical to driving commercial results
  • Regular deliveries and invoicing status reporting to support the Merchandise team in driving strategies and tactics to secure Métier performance
  • Aged stock performance reporting to support the group in achieving profitability targets

Reordering, Forecasting and Merchandise Stock Management Support

  • Validate and monitor daily orders initiated by the stores 
  • Process and manage daily client order requests and queries from boutiques, regularly track and follow up delivery statuses, and consistently provide up-to-date information in order to support the store teams in upholding exceptional client experience
  • Support the Merchandise team on performance analysis and stock forecasting needs for reorderable lines/categories
  • Support the Merchandise Team in optimizing stock balance via cyclical and ad hoc transfers between stores as well as globally

Other 

  • Support the Merchandise Team on Pricing, Reporting and Template preparations for key moments such as Buying periods and Business Review meetings, Staff Sale preparation, and the circulation of inter-department communications initiated by the Merchandise Team
  • Support the Merchandise Team in receiving and addressing daily queries and problem solving for store teams and other departments

About You:

To be successful in this sought after role, you will demonstrate:

  • An analytical mind and be highly numeric and financially oriented. Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Mathematics is preferred. Previous experience as a Planning or Merchandise analyst or assistant is advantageous. 
  • Highly efficient nature and possess acute attention to detail 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills dealing with internal and external parties
  • Ability to work well collaboratively with others, both from within the Merchandise Team and other departments
  • Technologically savvy, possessing a strong background in Excel and able to adapt swiftly to the use of a variety of retail and data reporting systems
  • A team player attitude with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate effective time management
  • Responsible, reliable, self-motivated and able to take initiative
