More About The Role
To lead the Merchandise Planners to ensure alignment across the Business units and to achieve the overall Merchandise Planning financial plan. Maximise sales, profit, and return on investment through accurate and effective management, execution, and communication of the merchandise financial plans for Supercheap Auto.
We are looking for a commercial operator who is skilled in merchandising and has a passion for leadership. This key role reports into a GM, is part of our leadership team and will be involved in operational strategy.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Contribute to the development of the Merchandise Planning strategy and oversee the implementation of the strategy to deliver the financial outcomes for the Supercheap Auto business.
- Provide input into development of merchandise financial planning KPI’s and objectives, in addition to monitoring the achievement of scorecard targets.
- Manage the merchandise financial planning forecasting process to ensure a timely delivery of highly accurate forecasts each month of full balance set financial metrics.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business priorities.
- Lead and develop a highly functional, technically capable, and successful team who consistently deliver on KPIs.
To Be Successful In This Position You Will Have
- Experience in Retail Merchandise Planning
- Experience in the management of Sales, Gross Profit, Stock, GMROI and Stock Turn
- Financial and budget management skills, OTB Management experience
- High interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Ability to influence and lead in matrixed corporate environment.
- Big box retail background preferred; no automotive experience needed.
