Are you ready to lead high-impact M&A projects and shape the future of businesses? Join our team and collaborate with top-tier advisors on dynamic deals and strategic initiatives.What will your typical day look like?You will work directly with market-leading M&A advisors and play a leadership role in the following activities:
  • Work with our national practice in deal origination and execution for international and national corporations, emerging companies, private businesses and private equity firms
  • Oversee the structuring and delivery of deal and business development deliverables: strategy papers, information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis
  • Identify and manage potential financial or transaction risks and prepare mitigation strategies for clients
  • End-to-end project management of transactions including direct liaison with Boards/vendors/bidders and other stakeholders and play a lead role in commercial discussions
  • Get involved with Deloitte's market leading programs such as the Entrepreneur Summit, TechFast50 and Best Managed Company initiatives
  • Support and lead various marketing and thought leadership initiatives
  • Mentor and support the development of junior staff
About the TeamOur M&A Advisory team works directly with shareholders, founders and C-suite executives throughout the entire M&A lifecycle to deliver advice on every aspect of a transaction, from initial valuation guidance, through financial and strategic analysis, to finding and negotiating with the right counterparties. We do this across a wide array of transaction types including acquisitions, divestments, recapitalisations and capital raisings.We advise on some of Australia's most interesting transactions across entrepreneur-backed and family-owned businesses, private equity, and corporate Australia. Nationally, we have deep sector experience across Industrials, Metals & Mining, Health Care, Consumer, TMT (Technology, Media and Telecom) and Financial Services.Enough about us, let's talk about youYou may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
  • Significant deal execution experience gained from an investment bank, corporate finance boutique, private equity or accounting firm (Deal Advisory or Corporate Finance)
  • Relevant accreditation in business, finance and accounting. Undergraduate experience in other disciplines such as law and engineering could be considered. Relevant post graduate qualifications such as CA and CFA would be ideal
  • Solution focused mindset and strong commercial acumen
  • Self-driven and motivated high performer
  • Have a track record of leading transaction teams to deliver a successful outcome
  • Experience in deal origination
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
