Installation Theatrical Engineering (ITE) designs, manufactures and installs complete live venue solutions encompassing everything from motorized orchestra lifts, complex hoist control systems, stage lighting bars, counterweight systems, drape track systems and stage lighting systems for concert halls, performing art centres, regional theatres, school auditoriums, convention centres, TV broadcast centres, entertainment centres, cinemas and presentation spaces. About the Role
We are looking for a reliable member to join our Stage Machinery team in Melbourne on a full time basis.
Tasks will include but are not limited to;
- Manufacturing & installing custom brackets to hang a range of equipment such as speakers, drape tracks, projector screens, lighting bars etc. in locations ranging from primary schools to large multi level construction sites.
- Operating plant such as scissor lifts, forklifts, scaffolding, boom lifts, linishers, metal saws, spray paint, power tools, hand tools, lathes etc.
- Liaising with on-site stakeholders such as builders and/or other trades and providing regular communication with our office.
- Reading shop drawings and designing theatre systems to suit the scope of works on a job-by-job basis.
- Work within a small team with the aim of developing into a team leader in the next 6-12 months.
About You
Experience on construction sites or in the theatre industry is desirable, however specialized training will be provided. Reliability, dedication and passion for doing great work are ITE's core criteria when selecting new members to join our team.
The majority of our work is on Victorian construction sites or in schools therefore the ability to get a White Card & Working with Children's is essential. Please be aware that your role will include interstate and possibly overseas work. The ability to work interstate is essential.
