SalaryBased in our client's Batchelor Plant, south of Darwin inNorthern Territory, our client is one of Australia's leading fullyintegrated beef, buffalo and camel meat processing company.
We are looking for metal fabricators for our morning and afternoonshifts.
We are looking for team players to undertake preventativemaintenance on a variety of food manufacturing plant andequipment.
You are required to weld various thicknesses of stainless-steelincluding sheet metal.
You must complete welds to a high standard, fabricating metalproducts as necessary within the food production area whendamaged.
About you:
We are seeking a fulltime experienced Metal Fabricator with astrong work ethic who takes pride in their work and can workalongside an established team.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess thefollowing:
• Qualified as a Metal Fabricator through an apprenticeship orequivalent (AQF Certificate III or equivalent).
• Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine jobrequirements
• Select, clean, and prepare metal stock
• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flamecutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machinetools, and by heating and hammering
• Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuringinstruments
• Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting,and riveting
• Examine welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
• Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing inacidic solutions
• Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling, and grinding
• Able to work efficiently on your own or within a teamenvironment
