Our Opportunity

Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Port Hedland

This is an exciting opportunity open to applicants that are New to the mining industry. Supported by the Operations Supervisor, our Metallurgical Technicians are pivotal in supporting the team to operate and maintain Courier Analysers, Plant Instrumentation and Sample Stations as well as conducting metallurgical test work and plant surveys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining PSI and Courier Analysers in the Ore Processing Facility
  • Conduct regular updates of the calibration models
  • Maintaining plant instrumentation and dry sample stations with ad hoc sample collection across site
  • Conduct regular metallurgical test work and presentation of reports to the Metallurgy Team to assist with identifying areas of focus for process improvements
  • Assist the Metallurgy Team with executing plant trials and survey
  • QAQC on sampling across the OPF to ensure they adhere to the Iron Bridge Metallurgy sampling standards
  • A high regard for safety and the ability to apply Zero Harm principles as a priority

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid C Class Manual Drivers License
  • A strong focus on safety with the ability to learn new processes and systems
  • The ability to work 12 hour shifts Fly In Fly Out on a remote mine site
  • Transferrable skills in a similar role highly desirable
  • The drive to work as a team player as well as autonomously
