Job Description
BESIX Watpac have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house Engineering and Methods team based in our head office in Brisbane. The position will see the successful candidate playing an integral role in supporting a variety of projects teams in Australia and New Zealand in engineering construction methodology advice, both during tender and construction phase.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Design, analysis, and optimisation of work methods for projects across our key sectors, including producing detailed Method Statements.
- Collaborating with our Estimating and Project teams to optimise the constructability of projects, including defining logistic plans, type and position of cranes, phasing of construction, work cycles, and re-use of material.
- Developing temporary structures solutions, working alongside relevant certifying consultants and sub-contractors.
- Manage the internal and external resources for the documentation and communication of methodologies and sequencing, temporary works in 2D and 3D.
- Assisting with the coordination of activities of external engineering consultants.
The incumbent in this role will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role or equivalent on-site experience delivering complex building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Capacity to plan for and adapt to design changes.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders.
