Job Description

This exciting role will see you accountable for ensuring continuity exists with our NRMA Patrol Roadside Assistance services delivered within the greater Sydney Metropolitan, Newcastle and Canberra area.

The key responsibilities of this role include leading strategic and continuous improvement initiatives, participating in forecasting and annual planning, as well as maintaining effective internal and external relationships, which extend to Union bodies, various internal working groups and senior leader engagement.

This position demands a high level of operational, strategic, commercial and people leadership skills, negotiation and influencing capability, attention to detail and a desire to meet targets and drive continuous improvement - all whilst ensuring the ongoing sustainability of the Metro Patrol network. 

You will not have any direct reports in this position but will support the overall operational and strategic function of the team. You will be expected to come into the office at least 3 days a week.
 

What you’ll bring:

  • Exceptional Operational Leadership experience managing remote workforces- monitor and drive performance outcomes and achievement of operational targets
  • Extensive experience managing teams governed by Enterprise Agreements (experience working within a unionised environment and/or contractor management is not essential but will be highly regarded)
  • A hands-on leader who thrives in multi-tasking and is process focused
  • Pragmatic approach to activity and delivery of real world solutions within a dynamic, often ambiguous environment
  • Resilient by nature and ability to be an effective change agent to lead through a transformational landscape
  • Business/commercial acumen combined with a developed financial and business skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills to work with stakeholders, resolve differences and facilitate decision making
  • Exceptional and accurate data analytical skills combined with the ability to think strategically
  • Strong time management skills and thrives when multitasking competing priorities
  • Experience with Workers Compensation, LTI’s, performance management processes and cases will be highly beneficial
