Reporting to the Mining Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Planning, coordinating, and executing the Daily and Weekly Mine Plan – upcoming development tasks, dump and tip head location preparation, compliance tasks, drill patterns, dig location preparation, and scheduled machine maintenance locations.
- Upholding, practicing, and demonstrating Glencore Fatal Hazard Protocols and Life-Saving Behaviours, as well as demanding accountability from crew members regarding these protocols.
- Displaying a high sense of safety citizenship and striving to improve the sites safety performance.
- Thoroughly reporting and investigating incidents in a timely manner and to a high standard. Implementing and closing out actions as required to ensure bad practices are stopped and learnings are received.
- Continually working to improve culture, performance, and attitude within the crew.
- Monitoring crew performance to ensure KPIs/targets are being met. Identifying and managing areas for improvement.
- At least 5 years of production experience in an open-pit environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Leading Hand/Supervisor capacity, and comfortable leading and developing teams and junior colleagues.
- A current manual drivers license.
- S1, S2, & S3 Supervisor competencies (Preferred).
- Sound IT/Microsoft Office skills.
- Commitment to building a safe workplace and fostering a positive workplace culture.
