About the Role
Tarrawonga are currently seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor. The Mining Supervisor is responsible for shift planning, assigning tasks to employees, monitor production targets, and initiate improvements.
What You’ll Do
Working in a highly collaborative, fast paced and dynamic environment, key responsibilities will include;
- Use your initiative to clarify your tasks, initiate improvements and work with minimal supervision and in a coordinated manner with your peers.
- Supervise and direct Operators including provision of pre-shift information, shift planning, and assigning employees to specific tasks.
- Monitor production performance to ensure delivery of business-critical outputs.
- Provide training, coaching and development, and maintain appropriate training documentation.
- Maintain and develop safe working practices across the team and wider operation at all times.
- Ensure shift planning is coordinated correctly to optimise production.
What You’ll Bring
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with an approachable nature; ideally you will also bring:
- Mining or general heavy industry experience in a supervisor, team lead or leadership position
- Short interval control exposure (Desirable)
- Risk management experience
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation and statutory requirements in NSW
- RIIRIS301D – Apply Risk Management Processes
- RIIWHS301D – Conduct safety and Health Investigations
- RIICOM301D – Communicate Information (essential)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- RIIRIS402D Carry out the risk management process (desirable)
