We are currently seeking applications for Ministerial Chauffeurs to join the our casual pool.
Remuneration: Casual rate $35.80 per hour
Hours of Duty: Up to 15 hours per week or 60 hours over a 28 day period.
About the Department / Branch:
The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for economic, social and financial policy outcomes. We play a vital role in providing financial services to the community and economic and fiscal policy advice to the Government of South Australia.
Electorate Services provides a range of services to Members of Parliament for the management and provision of support in the areas of human resources, accommodation, security, procurement, budget management, and management of the Global Allowance for the Members of the House of Assembly. In addition, Electorate Services also oversees the management of the Ministerial chauffeur service.
About the opportunity:
Ministerial Chauffeurs will provide the highest standards of customer service to all clients by modelling service excellence that meets the needs of customers and enhances the corporate profile of the organisation by:
- Providing a safe, courteous and committed professional service
- Maintaining confidentiality in line with the ‘Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector’
- Pre-planning travel destinations to provide a reliable and prompt service with local knowledge
- Providing well-presented Ministerial Chauffeured vehicles
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Demonstrated achievement in identifying customer needs, and providing highest standards of quality customer service and professionalism.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in the use of official information, equipment and facilities.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers.
- Proven ability to work with limited supervision and use initiative to determine priorities and manage workloads within specified time frames.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and contribute positively to a spirit of team co-operation.
- Must hold a current South Australian drivers licence.
Special Conditions:
- Must obtain a satisfactory level of competency at a defensive driving course.
- The incumbent must be prepared to work substantial amounts of overtime outside normal working hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Applicants will be subject to a satisfactory criminal history record check being conducted. Disclosure of any pending charges is mandatory.
