About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Ministry Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Corps Officer in the delivery of the mission of The Salvation Army in the Noosa / Coolum Region. The role is a member of the Corps Leadership Team and is responsible for a team of volunteers.

You will successfully
  • Lead and facilitate Programs, as well as leading and facilitating activities to meet mission intentions, Corps goals and engage participants
  • Ensure program and activity spaces are set-up and cleaned in line to ensure engagement and safety of participants
  • Volunteers are recruited, recorded, trained and effectively engaged in line with TSA policy and procedure
  • Participate in appropriate funding activities as agreed with the Corps Officer
  • Pastoral care and discipleship activities are undertaken as agreed with the Corps Officer
You will have
  • A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army.
  • An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel
  • Experience in a Ministry position (desirable)
  • Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g. faith-based groups
  • A membership / soldiership of a local Salvation Army Corps
  • A current and valid Qld Blue Card
  • A current Qld Drivers licence or working towards attaining one within 12 months of commencement of role.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Noosaville, QLD
