Global Graziers operates three Mixed Crop and cattle properties in Northern NSW and Southeast QLD and six agricultural properties in Botswana. The properties are run as an intensive commercial farming enterprise.
They are looking for a Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer in Stanthorpe.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Plan, organise, control, coordinate, perform and be responsible for the overall management function of the three farming enterprises located at the Stanthorpe, Liston and Deepwater properties;
- Manage, plan and co-ordinate the cattle, sheep and goat stock farming components of the business with reference to breeding, raising, marketing, sale and maintenance of their health and condition;
- Manage, plan and co-ordinate the winter cereals crop farming component of the business concerning the planting, cultivating, harvesting, sale and transportation of the crops with due regard for fertilising, pest and weed control;
- Maintenance of farm buildings, fences, plant equipment and water supply systems and infrastructure;
- Maintenance of farm records, evaluation and planning of farming activities, monitoring of market activity and planning livestock and crop production accordingly;
- Management of business capital, selection, appointment and management staff and contractors.
To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience as a Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer OR at least five years of relevant employment experience as a Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer.
This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $92,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
