Mixed Crop Farmer (Esperance WA role)

Our client operates a broadacre farming enterprise in the Esperance region, and is seeking a full-time Mixed Crop Farmer, reporting to the Farm Owners.The salary being offered for this role is between $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience and skill.This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cropping operations and facilitating the growth of the farm with consultation of the owners.Tasks as follows:Consulting with owners on appropriate seeds, soil conditions, irrigation, fertiliser, pest and weed control for crops
Directing and undertaking the cultivating and pruning of crops, fertilising and de-weeding
Managing farm hands and seasonal workers to ensure that day-to-day operations are run efficiently to maximise best quality of harvest, including the collection and storing of crops.
Ensuring farm structures, fences, machinery, equipment and irrigation systems are operational
Maintaining farming records and reporting to owners, and ensuring contractual obligations are met
Controlling farm operations commensurate with budgets and owners' directions
